Tyla Brown
Associate Director SF College Access Center (SFCAC) JCYC Educational Talent Search (JCYC ETS) Tyla Brown joined the San Francisco College Access Center (SFCAC) in 2014, when she was hired as an Educational Advisor to work with students at Thurgood Marshall High School. While working for the SFCAC, Tyla attended San Francisco State University, where she studied Political Science with a focus on urban poverty policy and education. Upon graduating, Tyla transitioned into a Senior Educational Advisor position and was assigned to work at Philip and Sala Burton High School. In August 2016, JCYC's Educational Talent Search (ETS) program received a new grant and Tyla was promoted into a new Associate Director position for SFCAC and ETS. In her current role, she is excited to support staff who have crucial roles in fostering educational access and opportunity.
