The JCYC Board of Directors is made up of dedicated professionals who provide vision and guidance for the organization. Each brings a broad range of resources and information that significantly enhance JCYC’s overall effectiveness. Members of the Board work closely with JCYC Staff to ensure a healthy and prosperous future for the organization.

Evan Wayne
Chair
Evan Wayne is the Chief Information Officer of Cost Plus World Market. Evan has spent his career working in various Technology Leadership jobs across various retail companies including Gap Inc., Sephora, and Rodan and Fields. Evan graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. Evan lives with his family in San Francisco where they are passionate about youth issues and supporting JCYC’s mission.
Louise Carroll
Vice Chair
Louise Carroll is a Nonprofit Executive, Graduate School Instructor, and Consultant. She works strategically to build consensus and advance the success of social sector organizations. Leveraging a 20-year career spanning journalism, financial empowerment services, education, and the arts, Professor Carroll brings a unique perspective on public-private partnerships to her work advising boards and executive management teams. Her approach blends strategic thinking and common sense, working side-by-side with leaders and stakeholders to build organizational capacity. As Executive Director of Tax-Aid, Louise led dozens of volunteer teams that helped low income taxpayers secure refunds totaling $16M+. As Director of the Palo Alto Art Center Foundation, she helped make today’s 21st century, museum-quality facility a reality. As an Advisor, she develops strategies to expand financially sustainable organizations, while helping overly burdened leaders turn around troubled projects. She completed her Master of Nonprofit Administration at the University of San Francisco in 2010.
Max Mah
Secretary
Max Mah was born and raised in San Francisco and graduated Magna Cum Laude from UC Riverside. He received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Max has 9 years of experience in Corporate Finance for a Fortune 100 Technology Company and has passed the Chartered Financial Analyst Exams, which focuses on Investment Management. He currently serves on JCYC’s External Committee, which focuses on fundraising and marketing of JCYC initiatives and campaigns, such as the SF Aloha Run for Solidarity. Max enjoys speaking at JCYC Career Days, which allows him to emphasize how important education is for our youth to succeed. His overall goal is to help JCYC youth live better lives and encourage them to be active members of our communities.
Shah Nagree
Treasurer
Shah Nagree is the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Operations at Olaplex, a leading haircare brand. Prior to Olaplex, he has held leadership roles in Supply Chain, Operations, and IT at various Bay Area companies including Gap Inc., Sephora and Amyris. Shah joined the JCYC Board in 2013 when as a parent of a young child he realized the lack of services for children in the San Francisco area. He was impressed with JCYC’s mission and success in providing programs and services to children of all ages, from infants to college bound.
Angus MacDonald
Board Member
Angus MacDonald is a senior lawyer in the Office of General Counsel of the University of California system, where he specializes in intellectual property law. Before joining UC in 2013, Angus was a partner at a law firm and was an in-house lawyer at several technology companies in the Silicon Valley, including as the General Counsel of a digital music service. He obtained his undergraduate degrees in 1996 from UC San Diego and his law degree in 2000 from UC Davis.
Angus proudly has been serving on JCYC’s Board since 2005 and has been the Board’s Chair since 2015. As a former participant and counselor in JCYC throughout the 1980’s, Angus jumped at the opportunity to participate in the stewardship of JCYC, an organization that meaningfully contributed to his youth.
Oliver Dunlap
Board Member
Oliver Dunlap is an attorney at Bartko Zankel Bunzel & Miller, with experience in a broad range of complex matters, including work with clients in the life sciences, healthcare, technology, financial services, and energy and resources industries. He has successfully litigated matters involving antitrust and class actions, trade secrets, mass torts, complex commercial disputes, products liability, business litigation, intellectual property, toxic torts and environmental defense, securities and internal investigations, international human and civil rights, and wine law. Oliver is a state bar leader, and actively participates in community organizations, pro bono work, and professional diversity and training initiatives. A San Francisco native, Oliver is proud to represent JCYC as Board Secretary, and has served on the Board since 2004. He views time spent supporting JCYC’s vital work with youth and their families as among the most rewarding and impactful ways he can give back to our vibrant community, support our neighbors, and grow a strong, diverse, and successful future.
Asia Harrigan
Board Member
Asia Harrigan works as a Legal Assistant (paralegal) for the Prisoner Legal Services (PLS), a division of the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office. PLS provides a variety of services, including, ensuring that inmates in the San Francisco County have access to the courts (which often means the ability to file a civil rights lawsuit regarding excessive force or other mistreatment while in custody), advocating for prisoner rights (such as providing ballots to eligible voters), helping inmates do legal research, providing legal support to the Sheriff’s Office and assisting in various legal matters. Imagine all the problems that may arise after being arrested (eviction, unpaid tickets, missed court dates, custody arrangements, etc.) – Asia’s department tries to assist in clearing up outstanding legal issues, so when a person is released, they are able to be a productive member of our community, rather than burdened by issues which increase their risk in returning to jail. Asia received a BFA degree with a focus in Glass Arts from the California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA. While Asia continues to work with glass occasionally, she felt more drawn to work in a legal setting, specifically in work promoting social justice. Asia had worked in legal settings prior to and during college, and eventually took some additional paralegal classes after graduating to further her career.
Darryl Abantao
Board Member
Darryl Abantao is a Human Resources professional with more than seven years of human resources experience in the following union and non-union industries: corporate catering and food production, transportation, youth employment and education, non-profit consulting, and post-secondary education. Darryl is currently the Human Resources Director at Energy Recovery, Inc. and has strong ties to JCYC – Darryl has served on JCYC’s Board for over 10 years, and prior to joining the Board, Darryl served as JCYC’s Human Resources Analyst. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from San Francisco State University.
Dinesh C
Board Member
Dinesh C is obsessed with using technology to bring better lives for people around the world. After graduating from Brown University in Computer Science and Business Economics, and further pursuing a Master’s in Sustainability at Harvard University, Dinesh took on various roles in the tech industry. His current position as Founder and CEO of ADAPT focuses on leveraging data and AI to bring Sustainable Transportation to our communities, a mission that can profoundly impact both public health and the environment. At UC Berkeley, Dinesh teaches entrepreneurship to inspire young people to think of new solutions in solving real-life challenges. He is excited to support JCYC’s mission as a member and greatly values the agency’s work in serving over 7,000 children and youth in the Bay Area annually.
Heather Littleton
Board Member
Heather Littleton is a proud native San Franciscan. She was fortunate enough to attend JCYC’s Tomodachi Summer Day Camp as a youngster in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Through these summer experiences, JCYC broadened and diversified Heather’s community and ingrained her love for the city. After graduating from UCLA, Heather earned her Master’s in Public Policy from USC, interested in a career in public service. Heather currently has her dream job as Project Manager with the City of San Francisco, working on technical assistance and consulting projects that help make our local government better. She is also a proud mother of two daughters; both of whom attended or currently attend JCYC’s Chibi Chan Preschool. They have adored their first classroom experiences at Chibi. Heather is a JCYC Board Member because she wanted to pay the benefits that JCYC gave her as a child forward. Heather firmly believes that JCYC’s core mission of providing access to education and youth development services is one of the most fundamental ways to empower young people to be the next generation of leaders we need.
Jerome Anderson
Board Member
Jerome is a San Francisco native, who grew up in the Fillmore District. After attending Riordan High School, Jerome enrolled at Hamilton College where he earned a degree in Rhetoric Studies. Soon after graduation, Jerome began his journey with JCYC by becoming an Employment Coordinator with the San Francisco YouthWorks program. During his six years with SF YouthWorks, he provided mentorship and guidance to hundreds of youth. He was instrumental in helping the program grow and develop relationships with many city government employees and departments. For the past six years, Jerome has been working as Technical Recruiter for a few well-known companies (Yahoo, Airbnb, and Twitch). Even after his departure from JCYC, Jerome remained connected to the organization by volunteering and staying in contact with many of the staff members. In 2018, he officially joined the board with the goal of ensuring that the voices of the staff and youth are being heard.
Kitty Mah
Board Member
Kitty Mah is one of the Co-Founders of JCYC’s longest running program, JCYC’s Summer Day Camp or Tomodachi Summer Program, which was established over 50 years ago in 1970. Kitty is a retired Registered Nurse from San Francisco General Hospital, and she currently helps establish decisions towards achieving JCYC’s vision, mission, and goals to lead diverse communities in our struggles for equity and against racism.
Gitanjali Rawat
Board Member
Gitanjali Rawat serves as the Director of Programs for Eden I&R based out of Alameda County. Gitanjali is a seasoned nonprofit leader with over a decade of experience in supporting programs for refugees and immigrants as well as various programs in health and human services. Under Gitanjali’s goal oriented leadership, Eden I&R’s various programs including the Alameda county 2-1-1 line has expanded considerably. Gitanjali also has experience in leading employer facing Diversity, Including, Equity and Belonging (DEIB) offerings specifically for immigrant and refugee populations. Additionally, Gitanjali is also a proud member of Soka Gakkai International, a global community of Buddhist practitioners originally founded in Japan. Gitanjali has been serving on JCYC’s board since July 2022 and is passionate about supporting San Francisco youth through JCYC’s many impactful programs.
Gautam Shah
Board Member
Gautam M Shah, “G”, is Chief Product Officer for Carelon, a health services brand under Elevance Health. In this role, he leads product strategy, lifecycle management, and customer success for a large-scale clinical, behavioral, care management, and financial healthcare solutions portfolio.
A veteran digital transformation leader, G has spearheaded business and product evolution across multiple regulated industries in the United States, Europe, and Asia for companies including Change Healthcare, UC San Francisco, Stryker, Cisco Jasper, Sprint, and Apollo Group. An award-winning communicator and leader, he has spoken at conferences worldwide, advancing new products and services to meet user needs.
An advisor to healthcare startups and recipient of the California Diversity Council’s Multicultural Leader of the Year, G is passionate about giving back to his community. He is excited to support JCYC’s mission to improve the lives of children, youth, and families in San Francisco’s diverse communities.
