JCYC is looking to recruit a member for its Board of Directors who has nonprofit finance work experience at the executive level. Our annual budget is now $20 million, so an ideal candidate would be familiar with budgets exceeding this. Government grant experience would be helpful as well as JCYC receives over 90% of its revenue from government contracts. This individual would serve as an advisor to JCYC’s Fiscal Director.
Board responsibilities will include:
- Attending monthly board meetings and participating in at least one subcommittee (in this case, the Finance Committee)
- Participating in fundraising and strategic planning efforts on behalf of the organization.
The JCYC Board of Directors provides strategic leadership to contribute to the organization’s success. The board is legally and fiscally responsible for the organization and its activities. Typically we have over 12 board members, representing a diversity of backgrounds and interests, who serve two (2) year terms.
