SF Stem Academy

The SF STEM Academy is an education and workforce development program that provides youth with an opportunity to increase their awareness, capacity, and motivation to pursue a career in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field.

The SF STEM Academy provides 15 eligible high school youth who attend Balboa High School with supplemental math and science instruction, STEM career awareness, job-readiness training and college preparation counseling during after school hours and on Saturdays. Upon completing the school session, youth will be enrolled in a seven week paid STEM related summer internship at one of the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) campuses.
